The utility model provides a novel grid applied in batteries, which is mainly produced by a lead plate (1) with a grid-like structure, mesh holes (2) are formed on the lead plate (1), and the density of the mesh holes (2) is larger than or equal to 2 mesh holes/cm2. The novel grid can enhance the binding force between the grid and lead paste, improve the utilization rate of the lead paste, prolong the service life of ordinary lead acid batteries and reduce the cost by increasing the density of the mesh holes (2).
